Bal Raksha Stotra

This stotra is in Sanskrit and it is from ShriMatBhagwat. Every child from birth up to the age of 5 needs protection. Mother with the help of father and Doctor provide such protection. However at times this protection is insufficient and there needs a devine protection. In this stotra devine protection is asked from Bhagwan Shri Vishnu. Shri Bhagwan Vishnu certainly protects the child. Mothers in India used to recite this stotra every day with faith, devotion and concentration.

This Stotra starts with bowing to God Ganesha. Achyut, Keshav, Narayan Govind is the name of Vishnu among many other names which are found in this stotra. Bhagwan Shri Vishnu is called by these names to provide protection to the child. Calling by these names mother is asking to protect the child from all ten directions i.e. East, West, North, South all four corner and up and down directions. Then she is requesting Rushikesha to protest all the organs of the child, Narayana to protect Prana, Yogeshwar to protect mind, Shewatdwipati to protect Chittam, Prushnigarbha to protect Budhi, Shri Bhagwan to protect Atman, Govind to protect while playing, Madhav when child is in sleep While eating Yadnyabhu to protect from all planets, Mata Kushamanda to protect from demons and AkshaVinayaka to protect from devils, Ghosts, corps etc. Matrukadaya, Jeshatha, Revati, are requested to protect from Mental diseases, fits etc. When Bhagwan Vishnu’s name is recited with faith, devotion and concentration Child gets protection from everything. Ladies are requested to recite this stotra every day even during pregnancy till the child is of 5 years of age.

बाल रक्षा स्तोत्र मराठी अर्थ: 

तुझ्या पायाचे अजन्मा भगवान, गुडघ्यांचे मणिमान, जांघांचे यज्ञ पुरुष, कमरेचे अच्युत, पोटाचे हयग्रीव, हृदयाचे केशव, छातीचे ईश, गळ्याचे सूर्य, बाहूंचे उरुक्रम, व डोक्याचे भगवान रक्षण करो. तुझ्या पुढे सुदर्शन चक्र, तुझ्या मागे गदाधर, तुझ्या दोन्ही बाजूंना धनुष्य, व खड्गधारी भगवान मधुसूदन अजन्मा तुझे रक्षण करो.चारी कोपऱ्यांत शंखधारी उरुगाय, वरती उपेंद्र, खाली गरुड, पृथ्वीवर हलधर व सर्व बाजूंना परम पुरुष भगवान निवास करीत असलेल्या देवता, तुझे रक्षण करोत. तुझ्या इंद्रियांचे हृषीकेश, प्राणांचे नारायण, मनाचे श्वेतद्वीपपति योगेश्वर, बुद्धीचे पृश्नीगर्भ व अहन्काराचे षडैश्वर्ययुक्त ईश्वर रक्षण करो. खेळतेवेळी गोविन्द, सुप्तावस्थेन्त माधव, चालते वेळी वैकुण्ठ, बसल्यावर श्रीपति, जेवण करते वेळी सर्व ग्रह, भयग्रस्त असतांना यज्ञभोक्ता भगवान रक्षण करो. डाकिनी, राक्षसी, कृभांड इत्यादी बलग्रस्त यक्ष, राक्षस, भूत, प्रेत यांपासून विनायक रक्षण करो. कोटरा, रेवती, ज्येष्ठा, पूतना व मातृका इत्यादी शरीर, इंद्रिय व प्राण नष्ट करणारे उन्माद व अपस्मार इत्यादी रोग, स्वप्नात दृष्टिगोचर होणारे मोठे उत्पात, वृद्ध ग्रह व बाल ग्रह इत्यादी सर्व भगवान विष्णूंचे नाम उच्चारण करताच नष्ट होऊ दे. अशा रीतीने हे बालरक्षा स्तोत्र भगवान विष्णुंना अर्पण असो.
