Namami Narayan PadPankajam Stotram 

GudhiPadava is a Hindu New year’s first day of Shalivahan Shak. It is always celebrated on Chaitra (Name of the month) shuddha pratipada every year. Current year we are celebrating it on Friday 23rd March 2012. This day is an auspicious day of “Sade teen Murtha”. It means that any new endeavor like establishment of new business, industry, and profession, construction of a house, building for business and many other things can be started on this day. You can start any new thing on this day. A child worships his slate and starts his education from this day. Why it is celebrated. 1) God Brahma has created the world on this day. Chaitra Shuddha pratipada. 2) God Ram defeated Demon Ravan and entered in the Ayodhya on this day. In happiness and to welcome God Ram, Sita, Lakshman and others; people erect pole in front of their houses. The poles were decorated with garlands of flowers, new cloth, leaves of KaduNimbha, garlands of sweets made up from sugar and a steel glass. Thus this decorated pole is called as Gudhi. 3) Naradi had 60 sons. Their names are given for each sanvatsar (year) of Shalivahan Shak. Every first day of each sanvatsar is Chaitra Shuddha pratipada. Gods welcomes this day by erecting gudhies, toran (a garland made with the leaves of mango tree). Gudhi is also called as “Brahma Dhvaja”. Leaves of Mango tree are considered always pious. On this festival day people get up early in the morning; decorate their houses and a place where a Gudhi is erected. Take a bath. Then they ware new clothes and worship the God. Everybody in the house eats the mixture of leaves of KaduNimbha, Black pepper, Gram (Harbhara Dal), Ova, Salt and Sugar to make the body healthy and strong. Then they enjoy the day by eating sweets, singing, dancing and playing. Panchang reading is always done and a year’s future and fate is getting known. Many times and in big houses it is done by the Pandit. In the evening the Gudhi is worshiped with Halad-Kumkum and Akshada and then it is lowered down. While worshiping the God people use to recite their favorite Stotra. Hence I am uploading this God Narayan Stotra. Happy new year and Happy GudhiPadava to all. 

Namami Narayan PadPankajam Stotram 

I always bow at the Lotus feet of God Narayan. I worship God Narayan always. I recite the holy and pious name of God Narayan. I always remember the Narayan Tatva which never be destroyed. The pious and holy names of Narayan are ShriNath, Narayan, Vasudev, ShriKrishna, BhaktaPriya, Chakrapani, ShriPadmanabha, Achyut, Kaitabhari, ShriRam, Padmaksha, Hari, Murari, Anant, Vaikuntha, Mukund, Krishna, Govind, Damodar and Madhav. Any person is able to recite these names but he never recites these names and becomes addict to very bad things; is humiliation. That devotee who meditates God Vishnu, who is always present in their middle of the heart and who is making yogis fearless; blessed by the Vaishanavi Siddhi. I bow to LaxmiPati Madhav who is sleeping on the SheshaNag which is a bed for him and who is looking very beautiful in the sea of Milk, the bubbles of which makes the scene like stars in the sky.

वदामि नारायणनाम निर्मलं स्मरामि नारायणतत्वमव्ययम् II १ II 

श्रीनाथ नारायण वासुदेव श्रीकृष्ण भक्तप्रिय चक्रपाणे I 

श्रीपद्मनाभाच्युत कैटभारे श्रीराम पद्माक्ष हरे मुरारे II २ II 

अनन्त वैकुण्ठ मुकुन्द कृष्ण गोविन्द दामोदर माधवेति I 
वक्तुं समर्थोSपि न वक्ति कश्र्चिदहो जनानां व्यसनाभिमुख्यम् II ३ II 

ध्यायन्ति ये विष्णुमनन्तमव्ययं हृत्पद्ममध्ये सततं व्यवस्थितम् I 

समाहितानां सतताभयप्रदं ते यान्ति सिद्धिं परमां च वैष्णवीम् II ४ II 

क्षीरसागरतरन्गशीकरासारतार चितचारुमूर्तये I 

भोगिभोगशयनीयशायिने माधवाय मधुविद्विषे नमः II ५ II

नमामि नारायणपादपंकजं स्तोत्रमचा मराठी अर्थ:

१) मी नेहमी नारायणाच्या चरणकमळानां नमस्कार करतो. मी नेहमी नारायणाची पूजा करतो. नारायणाच्या पावन, पवित्र नामाचे उच्चारण करतो आणि अविनाशी नारायणतत्वाचे स्मरण करतो. 

२-३) भगवानाच्या श्रीनाथ, नारायण, वासुदेव, श्रीकृष्ण, भक्तप्रिय, चक्रपाणि, श्रीपद्मनाभ, अच्युत, कैटभारि, श्रीराम, पद्माक्ष, हरि, मुरारि, अनंत, वैकुंठ, मुकुंद, कृष्ण, गोविंद, दामोदर, आणि माधव या नावांचे उच्चारण करण्यास समर्थ व सोपे असूनही, अहो मनुष्यांचे व्यसनांकडे अभिमुख होणे हि कशी (मनुष्य जन्माची) विटंबना आहे. 

४) जे लोक हृदयकमळांत नेहमी असलेल्या आणि समाधीनिष्ठ लोकाना नेहमी अभयप्रद, अविनाशी अश्या अनंत भगवान विष्णूचे ध्यान करतात त्यांना परम वैष्णवी सिद्धीची प्राप्ती होते. 

५) ज्यांची सुंदर मूर्ती क्षीरसागराच्या लाटांतील थेम्बाचा वर्षाव होत असल्याने गगनांत असलेल्या तारिकां प्रमाणे दिसत आहे. तसेच ज्यांनी शेषनागाच्या फणारूपी शय्येवर शयन केले आहे आणि जे मधु नावाच्या राक्षसाचे शत्रू आहेत त्या माधवाला मी नमस्कार करतो. 

अशा रीतीने नमामि नारायणपादपंकजं स्तोत्र संपूर्ण झाले.
