ShriGanesh Prathana 

ShriGanesh Prarthana is in Marathi. It is a beautiful creation of Gosavisut (son of Gosavi) Vasudev. Gosavi family was a great devotee of God Ganesh. God Ganesh himself had blessed the family for their dedicated devotion towards God Ganesh. Vasudev is asking to remove his false knowledge and give him true knowledge. In this prarthana he is praising God Ganesh by calling him as ocean of kindness, remover of worries, unhappiness and poverty. 

श्रीगणेश प्रार्थना 

प्रारंभी विनती करुं गणपति विद्या दयासागरा । 

अज्ञानत्व हरुनि बुद्धि मति दे आराध्य मोरेश्वरा ॥ १ ॥ 

चिंता क्लेश समस्त दुःख अवघे देशांतरा पाठवी । 

हेरंबा गणनायका गजमुखा भक्ता बहू तोषवी ॥ २ ॥ 

नेत्रीं दोन हिरें प्रकाश पसरे अत्यंत ते साजिरे । 

माथा शेंदूर पाझरे वरि बरे दुर्वांकुराचे तुरे ॥ ३ ॥ 

माझे चित्त विरे मनोरथ पुरे देखोनि चिंता हरे । 

गोसावीसुत वासुदेव कवि रे त्या मोरयाला स्मरे ॥ ४ ॥
