Shri Garudasya Dwadasha Nam Stotram Shri Garudasya Dwadasha Nam Stotram is in Sanskrit. It is from Bruhat-Tantrasar. If anybody reads/listen or recite this stotra at the time of bath or while going to sleep; he never has a fear from poison, poisonous animals, creatures and he also becomes free if he is in sombody's custody. Garud has a very special importance for us. Garuda is a vehicle of God Vishnu. Garuda asked so many questions to God Vishnu regarding life of a the person after death and hence we came to know about our pitrues and pitru lok. It results in Garud Purana coming into existence. Hence in the current pitru Paksha Shri Garudasya Dwadasha Nam Stotram is uploaded.
श्रीगरुडस्य द्वादशनाम स्तोत्रम्
सुपर्णं वैनतेयं च नागारिं नागभीषणम् ।
जितान्तकं विषारिं च अजितं विश्वरुपिणम् ।
गरुत्मन्तं खगश्रेष्ठं तार्क्ष्यं कश्यपनन्दनम् ॥ १ ॥
द्वादशैतानि नामानि गरुडस्य महात्मनः ।
यः पठेत् प्रातरुत्थाय स्नाने वा शयनेऽपि वा ॥ २ ॥
विषं नाक्रामते तस्य न च हिंसन्ति हिंसकाः ।
संग्रामे व्यवहारे च विजयस्तस्य जायते ।।
बन्धनान्मुक्तिमाप्नोति यात्रायां सिद्धिरेव च ॥ ३ ॥
महात्मा गरुडाजीके बारह नाम इसप्रकार हैं- १) सुपर्ण (सुंदर पंखवाले) २) वैनतेय (विनताके पुत्र ) ३) नागारि ( नागोकें शत्रु ) ४) नागभीषण ( नागोंकेलिये भयंकर ) ५) जितान्तक ( कालको भी जीतनेवाले ) ६) विषारिं (विषके शत्रु ) ७) अजित ( अपराजेय ) ८) विश्वरुपी ( सर्बस्वरुप ) ९) गरुत्मान् ( अतिशय पराक्रमसम्पन्न ) १०) खगश्रेष्ठ ( पक्षियोंमे सर्वश्रेष्ठ ) ११) तार्क्ष (गरुड ) १२) कश्यपनन्दन ( महर्षि कश्यपके पुत्र ) इन बारह नामोंका जो नित्य प्रातःकाल उठकर स्नानके समय या सोते समय पाठ करता है, उसपर किसी भी प्रकारके विषका प्रभाव नहीं पडता, उसे कोई हिंसक प्राणी मार नहीं सकता, युद्धमें तथा व्यवहारमें उसे विजय प्राप्त होती है, वह बन्धनसे मुक्ति प्राप्त कर लेता है और उसे यात्रामे सिद्धि मिलती है ।

I bow to God of all Gods Bhagwan Vishnu. The care taker of this world is God Vasudeo (Vishnu), I bow to him. I bow to God of the Gods and head of the yadnyas. I bow to God of Munies and Yakshas. I bow to head of all the Gods, Bhagwan Vishnu. I bow to God Vishnu who is there in everybody’s heart. I bow to God Vishnu who I worshiped by Great Rushies, God Brahma and God Indra and God Shiva. I bow to God Vishnu who does well to all people, destroyer of wicked and demons, doer of everything, head of all and relative of all. I bow to God Vishnu who is very calm and always at peace, Greatest among all, who gives blessings to the devotees, who protects those who surrender him, who is very beautiful and who gives the knowledge of Dharma, Arth and Kam. I bow to God Vishnu many times. Thus here completes Bhagwan Shri Vishnu Vandana which is from Garud Purana, Aachar Khanda.
भगवान श्रीविष्णु वंदना
विष्णवे देवदेवाय नमो वै प्रभविष्णवे ।
विष्णवे वासुदेवाय नमः स्थितिकराय च ॥
ग्रसिष्णवे नमश्र्चैव नमः प्रलयशायिने ।
देवानां प्रभवे चैव यज्ञानां प्रभवे नमः ॥
मुनीनां प्रभवे नित्यं यक्षाणां प्रभविष्णवे ।
जिष्णवे सर्वदेवानां सर्वगाय महात्मने ॥
ब्रह्मेन्द्ररुद्रवन्द्याय सर्वेशाय नमो नमः ।
सर्वलोकहितार्थाय लोकाध्यक्षाय वै नमः ॥
सर्वगोप्त्रे सर्वकर्त्रे सर्वदुष्टविनाशिने ।
वरप्रदाय शान्ताय वरेण्याय नमो नमः ।
शरण्याय सुरुपाय धर्मकामार्थदायिने ॥

भगवान श्रीविष्णु वंदना मराठी अर्थ
देवाधिदेव, तेजोमूर्ति भगवान विष्णुना माझा नेहमीच नमस्कार आहे. संसाराचे पालन करणारे भगवान वासुदेव विष्णुना मी वंदन करतो. प्रलयसमयी संसाराला आपल्या मूळ प्रकृतिमध्ये लीन करुन शयन करणार्या भगवान विष्णुना मी नमस्कार करतो. देवांचे आणि यज्ञांचे अधिपति विष्णुना मी नमस्कार करतो. मुनि आणि सर्व यक्षांचे प्रभु आणि सर्व देवांवर सत्ता गाजविणारे, सर्वाला व्यापून असलेले, महात्मा, ब्रह्मा, इन्द्र आणि रुद्र याना वंदनीय असलेल्या सर्वेश्र्वर भगवान श्रीविष्णुना मी नमस्कार करतो.
सर्व लोकांचे कल्याण करणारे, लोकाध्यक्ष, सर्वगोप्ता, सर्वकर्ता आणि सर्व दुष्टांचा नाश करणारे भगवान श्रीविष्णुना मी नमस्कार करतो. भक्तांना वर देणारे, अति शांत, सर्वश्रेष्ठ, शरणागतांचे रक्षण करणारे, सुंदर रूप असलेले, धर्म, अर्थ आणि काम याची प्राप्ती करून देणारे श्री भगवान विष्णुना मी वारंवार नमस्कार करतो.
This stotra is from Garud Purana. It has arisen in the conversation in-between God Vishnu and God Rudra. This stotra is in Sanskrit. Panjar means Kavacha. Devotee is asking God Vishnu to protect him from all sides- East-West-North-South/South-east-South-west-North-east-North-west and from above and from down. Finally he is asking God Vishnu to protect his body. Earlier this stotra was told to Goddess Eashani Katyayani and then she has defeated and killed demon Mahishasur.
Anybody who recites this stotra every day with faith, concentration and devotion receives a strong body, protection by God Vishnu and he can become victorious by defeating his enemies.
1 O! God Govind I bow to you, please take your Sudarshan chakra in your hand and protect me from East. O! God Vishnu I surrender to you.
2 O! God Padmanabha I bow to you, please take Koumodaki Gada (Weapon) in your hand and protect me from South. O! God Vishnu I surrender to you.
3 O! God Purushottam I bow to you, please take hal (Plough) named as Sounandan in your hand and protect me from West. O! God Vishnu I surrender to you.
4 O! God Pundarikasha! I bow to you, please take musal (Pestle) named as Shatan in your hand and protect me from North. O! God Jagannatha I surrender to you.
5 O! God Hare! I bow to you, please take Khadga, Charma and all other weapons in your hand and protect me from North-East (Eshanya). O! God you are destroyer of demons, I surrender to you.
6 O! God Yadnya-Varaha! I bow to you; please take Panchyajanya and Padma (weapon) named as Anughosha in your hand and protect me from South-East (Agneya). O! God Vishnu, I surrender to you.
7 O! God Bhagwan Nrusinha! You are lustrous like Sun and like calm moonlight I bow to you, please take Khadga (weapon) in your hand and protect me from South-West (Nairutya).
8 O! God Bhagwan Hayagriva! I bow to you, please ware Vaijayanti Mala (Garland made up of holy basil) and Shri Vatsa (Neck ornament) around your neck and protect me from North-West (Vayavya).
9 O! God Janardan I bow to you, please ride on Vainateya Garud (An Eagle), your vehicle and protect me from above (in the sky).
10 O! God Ajit (Victorious)! O! God Aparajit (who is never defeated)! I always bow to you. O! God Kurmaraj! I bow to you. O! God Mahamin! I bow to you. O! Satya-Swaroop God Vishnu! Protect my hands, head, fingers etc. and all parts of my body. I always bow to you.
11 O! Rudra! This Vishnu Panjar stotra, earlier in vary old days was told to Eshani Katyayani by me (Shrihari). By dignity (impact) of this stotra Eshani Katyayani defeated and destroyed demons like Mahishasoor and Raktabij; who were troubling Gods. Any person who will recite/listen this Shri Vishnu Panjar Stotram; daily with devotion, concentration and faith in mind; will conquer all his enemies and become victorious.

विष्णुपंजरस्तोत्रं चा मराठी अर्थ:
हे रुद्र मी आता विष्णुपंजरस्तोत्र सांगत आहे. हे स्तोत्र अत्यंत कल्याणकारी आहे.
१) हे गोविंद आपल्याला माझा नमस्कार आहे. आपण सुदर्शन चक्र हातात घेऊन पूर्व दिशेकडून माझे रक्षण करा. हे विष्णो ! मी आपल्याला शरण आलेलो आहे.
२) हे पद्मनाभ आपल्याला माझा नमस्कार आहे. आपण आपली कौमोदकी गदा हातात घेऊन दक्षिण दिशेकडून माझे रक्षण करा. हे विष्णो ! मी आपल्याला शरण आलेलो आहे.
३) हे पुरुषोत्तम आपल्याला माझा नमस्कार आहे. आपण आपले सौनंद नावाचे हल हातात घेऊन पश्चिम दिशेकडून माझे रक्षण करा. हे विष्णो ! मी आपल्याला शरण आलेलो आहे.
४) हे पुंडरीकाक्ष आपल्याला माझा नमस्कार आहे. आपण आपले शातन नावाचे मुसळ हातात घेऊन उत्तर दिशेकडून माझे रक्षण करा. हे जगन्नाथ ! मी आपल्याला शरण आलेलो आहे.
५) हे हरे ! आपल्याला माझा नमस्कार आहे. आपण आपले खड्ग, ढाल आदि अस्त्र- शस्त्र हातात घेऊन ईशान्य दिशेकडून माझे रक्षण करा. हे दैत्यविनाशक ! मी आपल्याला शरण आलेलो आहे.
६) हे यज्ञवराह ! आपल्याला माझा नमस्कार आहे. आपण आपले पांच्यजन्य नावाचा महाशंख आणि अनुघोष नावाचे पद्म हातात घेऊन आग्नेय दिशेकडून माझे रक्षण करा. हे विष्णो ! मी आपल्याला शरण आलेलो आहे.
७) हे दिव्यशरीर असलेल्या भगवान नृसिंहा ! आपल्याला माझा नमस्कार आहे. आपण सूर्यासारखे दैदिप्यमान व चन्द्रासारखे चमत्कृत खड्ग हातात घेऊन नैरुत्य दिशेकडून माझे रक्षण करा. हे विष्णो ! मी आपल्याला शरण आलेलो आहे.
८) हे भगवान हयग्रीव ! आपल्याला माझा नमस्कार आहे. आपण वैजयंती माळा व श्रीवत्स नावाचा कंठामध्ये शोभणारा हार घालून वायव्य दिशेकडून माझे रक्षण करा. हे विष्णो ! मी आपल्याला शरण आलेलो आहे.
९) हे जनार्दन ! आपल्याला माझा नमस्कार आहे. आपण वैनतेय गरुडावर आरूढ होऊन अंतरिक्षामध्ये माझे रक्षण करा. हे विष्णो ! मी आपल्याला शरण आलेलो आहे.
१०-११) हे अजित ! हे अपराजित आपल्याला माझा नमस्कार आहे. हे कूर्म-राज आपल्याला माझा नमस्कार आहे. हे महामीन आपल्याला माझा नमस्कार आहे. हे सत्यस्वरूप महाविष्णो ! आपण आपल्या बाहूंचा उपयोग करून माझे हात, डोके, माझी हात-पायाची बोटे आदि माझ्या सर्व अंग-प्रत्यंगाचे रक्षण करा. हे पुरुषोत्तम ! आपल्याला माझा नमस्कार आहे.
१२-१३) हे वृषध्वज ! मी फार प्राचीनकाळी सर्व प्रथम भगवती ईशानी कात्यायनीचे रक्षणासाठी हे विष्णुपंजरस्तोत्र तीला सांगितले होते. या स्तोत्राच्या प्रभावाने त्या कात्यायनीने स्वताला अमर समजणाऱ्या महिषासूर, रक्तबीज आणि देवांना त्रास देणाऱ्या अन्य दानवांचा नाश केला.
१४) या विष्णुपंजरस्तोत्र नावाच्या स्तोत्राचा जो मनुष्य भक्तीपूर्वक जप करतो, तो नेहमी आपल्या शत्रूंवर विजय मिळवतो.
अशा प्रकारे हे गरुड पुराणांतील श्री हरी-रुद्र संवादांत आलेले विष्णुपंजरस्तोत्र संपूर्ण झाले.
