Gayatri is the chandha. This is recited to avoid all the troubles from God Mangala.

1 Angarak, Shaktidhar (holding Shakti as a weapon), lohitanga, Dharasuta (son of Earth), kumar, Mangal, Bhoum, Mahakay (having a large body), Dhanaprad (giver of money),

2 Runaharta (destroyer of debt), Dhrushikarta, Rogakrut (who creates disease), Roganashana (destroyer of disease), Vidyut Prabho (Generator of electricity), vranakar (creator of wound marks and pains), Kamado, Dhanahrut (Destroyer of money), Kuja.

3 SamGanPriya, Raktavastro (who wears red clothes), SarvaKarmavaRodhak (who can creates in anything, any work),

4 RaktaMalyaDhar (Who wears a garland of red flowers), Hemkundali, GrahaNayak (leader of planets), these are the names of God (Planet) Mangal.

5 The above God Mangal’s name whosoever recites always, God Mangal destroys his debt, poverty and bad luck. He receives plenty of money and a handsome wife.

6 There is no doubt he get a very good son. Such son becomes a pride for his family and makes the family famous.

7 By reciting this stotra, it is certain that all troubles arising from all the planets are destroyed.

It is better to recite Angarak Stotra, one time in a day with faith, concentration and devotion if planet Mangal (Mars) is badly placed (in 2nd, 6th, 7th, 8th or 12 house) or along with Saturn, Harshal, Rahu, ketu or Budha (Mercury) in your horoscope.

7 Bhagwan Mangal you are blessing your devotees. I am reciting your names hence please remove my debt and make me free.

8 So also please make me free from diseases, debt, poverty, untimely death, fear, troubles, difficulty and unstable mind.

9 I know that you can give any type of happiness even you can give kingdom to an ordinary man when you are pleased. However when you become angry you can make a king an ordinary man.

10 The above is applicable even to Gods like God Viranchi, God Indra and God Vishnu. Bhagwan Mangal doesn’t make any difference he behaves equally with man and God.

11 O! Bhagwan GrahaRaj Mangal you are very powerful. Please bless me and give me a son, money. I bow to you and I am surrendering to you please make me free from debt, poverty, unhappiness and fear from enemies.

12 Anybody who recites these twelve stanzas and pleased Bhagwan Mangal receives money becomes rich by receiving blessings from Bhagwan Mangal.

Mangal Kavacham मंगळ कवच

Mangal Kavacham

Mangal Kavacham is in Sanskrit. It is from Markandeya Purana.

Kashyapa is the rushi, Anushtup is chanda, Mangal is Devata, and it is recited for Mangal devata.

1 I bow to Mangal, who has worn red cloth, who has a red colour body, who has four hands, who has Gada( weapon) in his hand, who’s vehicle is ram, who is son of the earth, who has Shakti and shula(weapons) in his hand. Pleased by my devotion, Mangal will bring good to me.

2 Let My head be protected by Angaraka. Let my forehead be protected by Dharasuta (Son of the earth). Let my ears be protected by Raktambara (i.e. who has worn red cloth). Let my eyes be protected by Raktalochana (i.e. whose eyes are red).

3 Let my nose be protected by Shaktidhara (i.e. who has Shakti weapon in his hand). Let my mouth be protected by Raktalochana (i.e. whose eyes are red). Let my arms be protected by Raktamali. Let my hands be protected by Shaktidhara.

4 Let my breast be protected by Varanga. Let my heart be protected by Lohita. Let my loins be protected by Graharaja. Let my middle part of the body be protected by Dharasuta (son of the earth).

5 Let my knees be protected by Kuja. Let Private parts of the body be protected by Kuja. Let my feet be protected by Bhaktapriya. (i.e. who give blessings to the devotees).

Let all other parts of my body be protected by Meshvahana (who has ram (male sheep) as his vehicle).

7 This Mangal kavacham is very pious and is destroyer of all enemies. It destroys ghosts and demons. It gives all the powers to the devotees. It cures all the diseases. It gives money and prosperity. It gives all sorts of happiness. It makes us free from bondage of life. It makes us free from diseases and any sort of restriction. This is true and true only. By reciting Mangal kavacham every day with faith in mind, will give all benefits as described above by the grace of Mangal.

Thus this Mangal Kavacham as appeared in Markandeya Purana ends here.

Mangal (Mars) when not favorable in our horoscope then we may receive troubles by Mangal. When Mangal is in aspect of/or with Saturn, Rahu, Ketu or Harshal or retro or in 2nd,4th, 6th, 7th, 8th or 12th house in the horoscope then Mangal is unable to produce good results and unsatisfied married life, No Santati Soukhya, No happiness, No good earnings, No success in the life such type of bad results are seen. Hence this Kavacham is to be recited daily three times to be free from such troubles.

मंगलकवच स्तोत्र मंत्राचा मराठी अर्थः 

या मंगलकवच स्तोत्र मंत्राचे कश्यप नांवाचे ऋषी आहेत. या स्तोत्राचा अनुष्टुप हा छंद आहे. मंगल हि या स्तोत्राची देवता आहे. मंगळापासून होणार्या त्रासांतून मुक्त होण्यासाठी हा जप करावयाचा आहे. 

१) मंगळाला मी नमस्कार करतो. त्याचे वस्त्र लाल रंगाचे आहे. त्यांचा वर्ण लाल आहे. त्याला चार हात आहेत. मेष हे त्याचे वाहान आहे. त्याने हातात गदा धरली आहे. तो भूमिपुत्र असून त्याने शक्ती व शूल ही शस्त्रे हातांत धरली आहेत. असा मंगळ मला सदा प्रसन्न होऊन वर प्रदान करो. (यापुढे मंगळाला त्याच्या निरनिराळ्या नावांनी संबोधून सर्व शरीराचे रक्षण त्याने करावे अशी विनंती केली आहे.) 

२) अंगारकाने माझ्या शिराचे रक्षण करावे. धरणीसुताने माझ्या कपाळाचे, तर रक्तांबराने माझ्या कानांचे आणि रक्तलोचनाने माझ्या नेत्रांचे रक्षण करावे. 

३) शक्ती हे शस्त्र हातांत धरलेल्याने (मंगळाने) माझ्या नाकाचे, रक्तलोचनाने माझ्या मुखाचे, रक्तमालीने माझ्या भुजांचे आणि शक्ती हातांत धरलेल्याने माझ्या हातांचे रक्षण करावे. 

४) वरांगाने माझ्या वक्षःस्थळाचे, लोहिताने हृदयाचे, ग्रहराजाने माझ्या कटिचे, धरासुताने माझ्या गुप्तांगाचे रक्षण करावे. 

५) कुजाने माझ्या गुडघ्यांचे व जंघेचे रक्षण करावे. भक्तप्रियाने माझ्या पायांचे आणि मेष वाहन असलेल्याने माझ्या अन्य सर्वांगाचे रक्षण करावे.

६) सर्व शत्रुंचा नाश करणारे असे हे दिव्य कवच आहे. भूत-प्रेत-पिशाच ह्यांच्या त्रासांतून सोडविणारे, सर्व रोगांना पळवून लावणारे व सर्व प्रकारची संपदा देणारे असे कवच स्तोत्र आहे. 

७) सर्व प्रकारचे सौभाग्य देणारे व भुक्ती-मुक्ती देणारे, रोग-बंध- दुःखांतुन सोडविणारे हे स्तोत्र आहे, हे निःसंशय सत्य आहे. 

श्री मार्कंडेय पुराणांतील मंगळ कवच संपूर्ण झाले. 

असे हे दिव्य कवच (दिवसांतून तीन वेळां) श्रद्धेने म्हणणारास सर्व प्रकारचे सुख मंगळ प्रसन्न झाल्याने लाभते. जन्मपत्रिकेमध्ये मंगळ वक्री-स्तंभी असेल, शनी-बुध-हर्षल-राहू-केतू यापैकी एका बरोबर किवा एकापेक्षा जास्त ग्रहांबरोबर असेल किंवा त्यांनी दृष्ट असेल अगर शनीच्या/बुधाच्या राशींत अगर अशुभ स्थानी असेल तर वैवाहिक सौख्य, संतती सौख्य, किंवा सर्व प्रकारचे ऐहिक सौख्य मनासारखे मिळण्याची शक्यता कमी असते. असे होऊ नये म्हणून हे कवच-स्तोत्र रोज म्हणावे. कर्ज फार झाले असेल त्यापासून मुक्त होण्यासाठी या कवचाचा फार चांगला अनुभव येतो.
