Shri Khanderayachi Aarati 

Shri Khanderayachi Aarati is in Marathi. It is a very nice creation of Das Narahari. The aarati is in 4 stanzas. The meaning of it in short can be described as under. He says that JejurGad parvat (mountain) is like a shiva-linga. It is a second Kailas on this earth. By nature its construction is very beautiful. God Shiva resides here. Khanderay is God Shiva’s incarnation. He had killed demon Mallari. Demon Mani was very cruel and he was troubling rushies, people and gods also. Gods were also frightened of him. Shri Khanderay (Khandoba) appeared on this earth on the day of Champa Shasti. Then he killed demons Mani and demon Mallri. He killed them with beating them with Khadga (a weapon). However when demons asked for blessings Khandoba blessed them and allowed them to be at his feet. After killing demons Mani and Malla, Mallri (Khandoba) for the protection of rushies and gods reside at Jejuri as per their request. Mhalasa is his wife; is also with him. Now Das (Devotee) Narahari is asking for the blessings by God Khandoba.
