Matangi Stav 

Matangi Stav is in Sanskrit. Goddess Devi is called by this name. Goddess has many names which are given by her devotees. Goddess Matangi is mainly for giving us wealth, money and property. Devotee receives all the above by the blessings of the Goddess. The Stav meaning is as under. O! Mother God Brahma other gods became famous because they worship your feet. Many devotees received blessings from you and their desires are fulfilled by you. Some your dearer devotees become rich and received wealth and property. Your head is shining because of the arcs of the moon. You are the creator of the knowledge of Vedas in the heart of the devotees. Your middle part of the body is like an enriched ring and body color is shining like a blue lotus. O! Sureshwari you have attracted triloka (Pruthavi Loka, Patal Loka and Swarga Loka) by glance of your beautiful eyes and shining body. Your hairs are bounded by Kadamb (flower) braid. Your forehead is shining and your face is very beautiful. I worship you and make a dhyanam of your roopa having big eyes and a beautiful face. The devotee who worships Goddess Matangini who is wife of God Shiva; and recites the Kavacha of the Goddess becomes ever rich and blessed by the Goddess with everlasting wealth and Money and Property.

मातंगी स्तव 

आराध्य मातश्चरणाम्बुजे ते, ब्रह्मादयो विश्रुतकीर्तिर्मापुः I 

अन्ये परं वा विभवं मुनीन्द्राः, परां श्रियं भक्तिभरेण चान्ये II १ II

नमामि देवीं नवचंद्रमौलीं, मातङ् गिनीं चंद्रकलावतंसाम् I

आम्नायकृत्यप्रतिपद्धितार्थं, प्रबोधयन्तीं हृदि सादरेण II २ II

चिरेण लक्ष्यं प्रददातु राज्यं, स्मरामि भक्त्या जगतामधीशे I 

वलित्रयाङ्गं तव मध्यमम्ब, नीलोत्पलं सुश्रियमावहन्तीम् II ३ II 

कान्त्या कटाक्षैर्जगतां त्रयाणां, विमोहयन्ती सकलान्सुरेशि I 

कदम्बमालाश्चितकेशपाशां, मातङ्गकन्यां हृदि भावयामि II ४ II 

ध्यायेदारक्तकपोलबिम्बं, बिम्बाधरन्यस्तललामवश्यम् I 

आलोललीलाकमलायताक्षं मन्दस्मितं ते वदनं महेशि II ५ II 

स्तुत्यानया शंकरधर्मपत्नीं, मातंगिनीं वागधिदेवतां ताम् I

स्तुवन्ति ये भक्तियुता मनुष्याः परां श्रियं नित्यमुपाश्रयन्ति II ६ II

II इति मातंगी स्तव संपूर्णः II

मराठी अर्थः

हे माते, तुझ्या चरणकमलाच्या आराधनेने ब्रह्मादि देव कीर्तिमान झाले. कित्येक मुनिजन परम वैभवाप्रत प्राप्त झाले; तसेच अनेक दृढ भक्त श्रीमान झाले. चंद्रकलेने तुझें मस्तक शोभायमान झाले आहे. हृदयामध्यें वेद्प्रतिपादित अर्थ सर्वदा तूंच प्रबोधित करतेस. तुझ्या शरिराचा मध्य प्रदेश वलित्रयुक्त असून कांति नील कमलाप्रमाणे सुशोभित आहे. हे सुरेश्वरी, आपल्या कांतीने व नेत्रकटाक्षांनी तूं त्रैलोक्य मोहित करितेस. कदम्बमालांनी बद्ध असे तुझे केशपाश असून आरक्त कपोलयुक्त मुखकमल अत्यंत सुंदर आहे. त्यावर चंचल अलकावली विराजित आहे. विशाल नेत्र आणि मंदस्मित मुख अशा त्या परम पूज्य मुखकमलाचे मी ध्यान करतो. अशा प्रकारे जो भक्तिमान मनुष्य शंकराची धर्मपत्नी मातंगिनी हिची स्तुती करतो तो सदा सर्वदा मोठा संपत्तिमान होतो.
