श्रीदत्तात्रेय प्रार्थना स्तोत्र  

समस्तदोषशोषणं स्वभक्तचित्ततोषणं ।

निजाश्रितप्रपोषणं यतीश्र्वराग्र्यभूषणम् ।

त्रयीशिरोविभूषणं प्रदर्शितार्थदूषणं ।

भजेऽत्रिजं गतैषणं विभुं विभूतिभूषणम् ॥ १ ॥

समस्तलोककारणं समस्तजीवधारणं ।

समस्तदुष्टमारणं कुबुद्धिशक्तिजारणम् । 

भजद्भयाद्रिदारणं भजत्कुकर्मवारणं ।

हरिं स्वभक्ततारणं नमामि साधुचारणम् ॥ २ ॥  

नमाम्यहं मुदास्पदं निवारिताखिलापदं ।

समस्तदुःखतापदं मुनीन्द्रवन्द्य ते पदम् ।

यदञ्चितान्तरामदम् विहाय नित्यसंमदं ।

प्रयान्ति नैव ते मिदं मुहुर्भजन्ति चाविदम् ॥ ३ ॥

प्रसीद सर्वचेतने प्रसीद बुद्धिचेतने ।

स्वभक्तहृन्निकेतने सदाम्ब दुःखशांतने ।

त्वमेव मे प्रसूर्मता त्वमेव मे प्रभो पिता ।

त्वमेव मेऽखिलार्थदोऽखिलाकतोऽविता ॥ ४ ॥

ॐकारतत्त्वरुपाय दिव्यज्ञानात्मने नमः ।

नभोतीतमहाधाम्न ऐंद्र्यृध्या ओजसे नमः ॥ १ ॥

नष्टमत्सरगमयागम् चारात्मवर्त्मने । 

मोचितामेध्यकृतये र्‍हींबीजश्राणिताश्रिये ॥ २ ॥

मोहादिविभ्रमांताय बहुकायधराय च । 

भक्तदुर्वैभवछेत्रे क्लींबीजवरजापिने ॥ ३ ॥

द्रावितप्रणताघायात्तः स्वजिष्णुः स्वराशये ।

राजन्त्र्यास्यैकरुपाय मःस्थायमसुबंधवे ॥ २० ॥

यतते चोदनातीतप्रचारप्रभवे नमः । 

मानरोषविहीनाय शिष्यसंसिद्धिकारिणे ॥ २१ ॥

गंत्रे पादविहीनाय चोदनाचोदितात्मने । 

यवीयसेऽलर्कदुःखवारिणेऽखंडितात्मने ॥ २२ ॥

र्‍हींबीजायार्जुनज्येष्ठाय दर्शनादर्शितात्मने ।

नतिसंतुष्टचित्ताय यतिने ब्रह्मचारिणे ॥ २३ ॥

इत्येष सत् स्तवो वृत्तोयात् कं देयात्प्रजापिने ।

मस्करीशो मनुस्यूतः परब्रह्मपदप्रदः ॥ २४ ॥

॥ इति श्री प.प.श्रीवासुदेवानंदसरस्वतीविरचितं मंत्रगर्भश्रीदत्तात्रेयाष्टोत्तरशतनाम स्तोत्रम् संपूर्णम् ॥

॥ श्रीदत्तात्रेयार्पणमस्तु ॥   

या स्तोत्राचे वैशिष्ट म्हणजे यांत प्रत्येक ओळींतील ठराविक अक्षर घेतली की १४ अतिशय प्रभावी मंत्र तयार होतात. अशा स्तोत्रांना मंत्रगर्भात्मक स्तोत्र असे म्हणतात. परमहंस परिव्राजकाचार्य वासुदेवानंद सरस्वतींच्या प्रगल्भ प्रतिभेची चुणुक येथे आपल्याला दिसते. ते म्हणत असत की सरस्वतीच्या कृपेने कोठचेही स्तोत्र करतांना त्यांच्या डोळ्यासमोर ती अक्षरे दिसत असत. अशी मंत्रगर्भात्मक स्तोत्रे त्यांनी बरीच केली आहेत.
ह्या स्तोत्रांतील ते चौदा मंत्र:
१) ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय ।
२) नमो भगवते रुद्राय  । 
३) गं र्‍हीं इतेष सत् त्सवः । 
४) तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गोदेवस्य धीमहि धियोयोनः प्रचोदयात् ।
५) दिगंबराय विद्महे अवधूताय धीमहि तंनो दत्तः प्रचोदयात् ।
६) नारायणाय विद्महे वासुदेवाय धीमहि तंनो विष्णुः प्रचोदयात् ।

यामिनीस शोभवीत, चंद्र तों प्रजापती ।

दूर वास अवतार, तोचि श्रीउमापती ।

श्रीरमापतीच अत्रि, आश्रमांत राहिला ।

तो अनाथनाथ-दत्त, माहुरांत पाहिला ॥ १ ॥

जो अखंड चंद्र श्रीमृगेंद्र नाम शिखरीं ।

जो पहावयासि होति, वासना मसी खरी ।

म्यां वियोग-ताप त्या, चकोरतुल्य साहिला ।

तो अनाथनाथ-दत्त, माहुरांत पाहिला ॥ २ ॥

मायही यदा कदा, पिता कुमार भारवी ।

सद्गुरुस हांसतील, कीं उमा रमा रवी ।

जो कुठेंचि नीगमास, दिसला न गाइला ।

अर्जुना अधीक आपल्याहिहून बाहु दे ।

याचका उचीत दान हे बहुत बाहुदे ।

जो सुरासुरें धराधरें नरेंही गाइला ।

धर्म अर्थ काम मोक्ष, ग्राम गाणगापुर ।

श्रीगुरुचरित्रनाम, हेंचि गाणगापुर ।

नारसिंह श्रीसरस्वती स्वरुप जाहला ।

तो अनाथनाथ-दत्त, माहुरांत पाहिला ॥ ५ ॥   

ज्या कधीहि कष्टती न पातकांसि तासिता ।

वांच्छिती सदैव पाद, मृत्तिका सिताऽसिता ।

जो समस्त योगज्ञानि सन्मुनीनि ध्याइला ।

तो अनाथनाथ-दत्त, माहुरांत पाहिला ॥ ६ ॥  

जो रविशशीस स्वप्रकाश रंग वर्णवी ।

जो प्रबोध-ज्ञान-सिंधूचे-तरंग वर्णवी ।

जो घटांत ही मठांत, भूपटांत लीहिला ।

तो अनाथनाथ-दत्त, माहुरांत पाहिला ॥ ७ ॥    

जों न लोटिताहि जाय, भक्त लालसे दुर ।

जेंवि कां पटासि स्नेह, सक्त लाल सेंदूर ।

कीं रुपज्ञ मानिताति आम्रवृक्ष कोकिला ।

तो अनाथनाथ-दत्त, माहुरांत पाहिला ॥ ८ ॥  

जो सुगंधगंध मंद, हास्य मुख साजरा ।

पंकजा सतीगमेचि, नीलपंखसा जरा ।

जो सुगंधगंध देत, पाच जाइ जुईला ।

तो अनाथनाथ-दत्त, माहुरांत पाहिला ॥ ९ ॥  

जो त्रिगुणरुप पूर्ण, ब्रह्म आजरामर ।

ज्यासि सामरादि लोक, वारिताति चामर ।

जो अनुसुयेचिया निजूनि पायी नाहिला ।

तो अनाथनाथ-दत्त, माहुरांत पाहिला ॥ १० ॥  

हे सुधाकरासी देति, पुष्टी श्र्लोक आकरा ।

कोण या नको म्हणेल, पुण्यश्र्लोक 'आ' करा ।

विष्णुदास या कथामृतासि पिउनि धायिला ।

Shri Dattashtakam

Shri Dattashtakam is a Sanskrit stotra. It is a beautiful creation of Shri Aadi Shankaracharya. Whosoever recites this Stotra, receives all type of happiness, becomes free from all troubles, difficulties, success in all endeavors, his life becomes peaceful.

However this Shri Dattashtakam is to be recited daily with faith, concentration and devotion to receive all the benefits as above.

Shri Dattashtakam starts with bowing to God Dattatreya.

1) God Dattatreya is incarnation of God Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. So he is having all three virtues which are Raja, Tama and Satva. Brahmanda and three lokas (Pruthavi, Patala and Swarga) have become pious because of Trimurthy’s presence (God Dattatreya). Trimurthy that is God Dattatreya is protector of this Brahmanda. He protects his devotees and makes them free from fear. Aadi Shankaracharya requests God Dattreya to reside in his mind always.

2) This world is filled by God Vishnu, God Vishnu is filled with God Shiva and God Brahma along with God Shiva is filled by God Dattatreya. He (God Dattatreya) is worshiped by God Brahma and other Gods. He himself is in all the lokas and resides in the hearts (which are like oceans) of the peoples. Aadi Shankaracharya requests God Dattreya to reside in his mind always.

3) The Sun and All the Grahas (planets), the rushies who perform Yagnyas, pious Vedas, and Puranas have described God Dattareya just like God Shiva in a form of jyoti swaroopa (pious divine light). God Dattateya as described above in Shastras and Vedas is the protector of three lokas (Pruthavi, Patala and Swarga). Aadi Shankaracharya requests God Dattreya to reside in his mind always.

4) God Dattatreya creates, protects and destroys everything. So also he makes everybody free from the bondage of life. He resides on the pious Kailsa parvata (mountain), he has held moon on his head, and worn rudraksha garlands. He has many weapons in his hands. Bow, Arrows, Chap, Musal, Khatvag are these weapons. Aadi Shankaracharya requests God Dattreya to reside in his mind always.

5) God Dattreya is having a very pious Chitta (mind), his body is shining like pure gold and his intelligence appears on his face. He is enjoyment for his devotees. He makes us free from bondage of life and ongoing process of birth and death again and again. God Dattatreya becoming as Dattatreya give his blessings to the Brahmanda. Aadi Shankaracharya requests God Dattreya to reside in his mind always.

6) God Dattatreya is like Oma roopa (form), supreme, impartial, selfless, pious, without any attachments, happy, my guru (master) and always as pious as divine light. He is truth, the true knowledge, occupied all the Brahmanda (World), he is our God and hence Aadi Shankaracharya requests God Dattreya to reside in his mind always.

7) God Dattreya has held danda in his hand, wore rudraksha garlands around his neck, hands and wrists, he has applied Bhasma (pious ash) on his body, his eyes are like lotus, he found in Kolhapur performing pious Bhiksha (people give food to him in the afternoon). He performs his pious Snana (bath), Japas in pious kashi (Banaras) and he resides in Mahur. Aadi Shankaracharya requests God Dattreya to reside in his mind always.

8) The people who resides on the bank of Krishna river worships God Dattatreya’s Paduka (foot prints) and receives blessings from him. There is no other than God Dattateya who gives us Mukti (makes us free from bondage of life, sorrow and all difficulties). Aadi Shankaracharya says it is very true and God Dattatreya is for our protection, help, happiness and giving blessings to us. Aadi Shankaracharya requests God Dattreya to reside in his mind always.

Thus here completes Shri Dattashtakam created by Aadi Shankaracharya.

Aparadha Kshamapan Suti Stotra

Aparadha Kshamapan Suti Stotram

This Stotra is in Sanskrit. It is a very beautiful creation of shri Vasudevananda Saraswati.

He was a great devotee of Shri Datta Guru. On the contrary he himself was God Dattatreya’s incarnation. We believe that by chanting the name of God, we become Godlike. In this Stotra a devotee is telling God Dattatraya that never in his life time he (devotee) has recited God Dattaguru’s name. He is repenting it for now at the end of his life time. He asks God Dattatreya to forgive him. Further he asks for God Dattatraya’s blessings. He describes why and when he has not chanted name of God Dattatreya as follows.

Translation

1) Devotee is saying, O! God Dattatreya! Please forgive me for the sins committed by me; by using my body, by using harsh words or by using mind. God your heart is like ocean of kindness which has tremendous depth, length and breadth. Hence I know that you will forgive me.

2) Devotee is saying, O! God Dattatreya! In my earlier births (which may be higher or lower level births compared to birth as a man) I have never chanted your name. God Dattatreeya you know everything, you are everywhere, hence Please forgive me for the sins committed by me; by using my body, by using harsh words or by using mind. I know that you will forgive me.

3) I while in the comb of my mother, I could not recite the name nor after my birth I had done so as I caught in the maya of this world. Hence please forgive me for the sins committed by me; by using my body, by using harsh words or by using mind. I know that you will forgive me.

4) After my birth, I forget to recite your name because of my poor knowledge and as I was caught in the maya of the world. Many saints and enlighten sadhues told me and reminded me to recite your name but I failed to do so. Hence please forgive me for the sins committed by me; by using my body, by using harsh words or by using mind. I know that you will forgive me.

5) O! God Dattaguru in my childhood also I have not recited your name. I was in bad company and surrounded by people committing sins. This may be because of my sins committed in my earlier births. But I know that you are an ocean of kindness which is beyond all measurements and bounds. Hence please forgive me for the sins committed by me; by using my body, by using harsh words or by using mind. I know that you will forgive me. Hence please forgive me for the sins committed by me; by using my body, by using harsh words or by using mind. I know that you will forgive me.

6) 6) O! Kind hearted Dattaguru, when I was young because of making money for many enjoyments and other attractions; I had never recited your name. Now I am repenting for it. Hence please forgive me for the sins committed by me; by using my body, by using harsh words or by using mind. I know that you will forgive me.

7) 7) O! Kind hearted Dattaguru, when I was old; I have not recited your pious name because of bad health. Now I have become miserable and dependent. I am repenting. Hence please forgive me for the sins committed by me; by using my body, by using harsh words or by using mind. I know that you will forgive me.

8) O! Kind hearted Dattaguru; I have committed many sins in this birth and also in my earlier births. There is nobody other than you to make me free from all my sins. Hence please forgive me for the sins committed by me; by using my body, by using harsh words or by using mind. I know that you will forgive me.

9) O! Kind hearted Dattaguru; I have not recited your pious name, nor worshiped you, never sang your stotra and also not visited your temple. Now I am repenting for it. Hence please forgive me for the sins committed by me; by using my body, by using harsh words or by using mind. I know that you will forgive me.

10) O! Kind hearted Dattaguru; this Aparadha Kshamapan Suti Stotram of nine stanzas which covers many Shastras in short, is created by your follower, Vasudevanand Saraswati. We request you to offer shower of your blessing to me and other devotees by forgiving them for their sins and rest us in peace of your pious swaroopa. We are praying you and we know that you are an ocean of kindness and you will forgive us.

श्रीपादः पातु मे पादावूरु सिद्धासनस्थितः ।

पायाद्दिगंबरो गुह्यं नृहरिः पातु मे कटिं ॥ १ ॥

नाभिं पातु जगतस्त्रष्टोदरं पातु दलोदरः ।

कृपालुः पातु हृदयं षड्भुजः पातु मे भुजौ ॥ २ ॥

स्त्रक्कुंडी-शूल-डमरु शंख-चक्र-धरः करान् ।

पातु कंठं कंबुकंठः सुमुखः पातु मे मुखम् ॥ ३ ॥

जिह्वां मे वेदवाक् पातु नेत्रे मे पातु मे दिव्यदृक् ।

धन-धान्य-गृह-क्षेत्र-स्त्री-पुत्र-पशु-किंकरान् ।

ज्ञातींश्च पातु नित्यं मेऽनसूयानंदवर्धनः ॥ ९ ॥

बालोन्मत्त पिशाचाभोद्युनिट्संधिषु पातु माम् ।

भूत-भौतिक-मृत्युभ्यो हरिः पातु दिगंबरः ॥ १० ॥

य एतद्दत्तकवचं संनह्याद्भक्तिभावितः ।

सर्वानर्थविनिर्मुक्तो ग्रहपीडाविवर्जितः ॥ ११ ॥

भूतप्रेतपिशाचद्यैर्देवैरप्यपराजितः ।

भुक्त्वात्र दिव्य भोगान् स देहांतेतत्पदंव्रजेत् ॥ १२ ॥

१) श्री म्हणजे लक्ष्मी ज्याच्या पायाचा आश्रय निरन्तर करुन राहते तो श्रीपाद दत्तात्रय माझ्या पायांचे रक्षण करो. सिद्धासनस्थ असलेला दत्त माझ्या मांड्यांचे रक्षण करो. दिगंबर म्हणजे दिशा हेच ज्याचे वस्त्र आहे असा दत्तात्रेय माझ्या गुद व जननेंद्रिय यांचे रक्षण करो. माझ्या कंबरेचे रक्षण नृहरि दत्तात्रेय करो.
२) सर्व जगाला निर्माण करणारा म्हणजे ब्रह्मदेव हे रुप धारण करणारा दत्तात्रेय माझ्या नाभीचे रक्षण करो. पिंपळाच्या पानाप्रमाणे पातळ उदर असलेला दत्तात्रेय माझ्या उदराचे रक्षण करो. कृपाळू दत्तात्रेय माझ्या हृदयाचे रक्षण करो. सहाभुजा असलेला दत्तात्रेय माझ्या भुजांचे रक्षण करो. 
३) माला, कमंडलु, त्रिशूल, डमरु, शंख व चक्र धारण करणारे दत्तात्रेय माझ्या हातांचे रक्षण करोत. कंबू म्हणजे शंख त्याच्याप्रमाणे ज्यांचा कंठ आहे असे दत्तात्रेय माझ्या कंठाचे रक्षण करोत. सुंदर मुख असलेले दत्तात्रेय माझ्या मुखाचे रक्षण करोत.
४) सर्व वेद ज्या विराटस्वरुप दत्तात्रेयाचे वागिंद्रिय आहे असे दत्तात्रेय माझ्या जिभेचे रक्षण करोत. ज्यांची दृष्टी दिव्य आहे असे दत्तात्रेय माझ्या दोन्ही डोळ्यांचे रक्षण करोत. ज्यांचे शरीर सर्वदा व स्वभावतःच सुगंधी आहे आणि जे गंधरुप आहेत असे दत्तात्रेय माझ्या नाकाचे रक्षण करोत. ज्याच्या स्वरुपाचे व गुणांचे श्रवण पुण्यकारक आहे असे दत्तात्रेय माझ्या कानांचे रक्षण करोत. 
५) हंसरुप दत्तात्रेय माझ्या ललाटाचे रक्षण करोत. जटा धारण करणारे दत्तात्रेय माझ्या मस्तकाचे रक्षण करोत. सर्वांचा ईश असलेला दत्तात्रेय माझ्या वाणी,जननेन्द्रिय, गुद, हात व पाय अशा पांच कर्मे्द्रियांचे रक्षण करो. ज्याला जन्म नाही असा म्हणजे जन्मानंतरचे विकार नसलेला दत्त डोळे, नाक, कान, जीभ व त्वचा या पांच ज्ञानेद्रियांचे रक्षण करो.
६) सर्वांच्या आंत राहणारा दत्त माझ्या अंतःकरणाचे रक्षण करो. सर्व योग्यांचा राजा माझ्या प्राणापानादि दशवायूंचे रक्षण करो. वरती, खाली, पाठीमागे, डाव्या उजव्या दोन्ही बाजूंना व पुढच्या बाजूला अशा दश दिशांना दत्तात्रेय माझे रक्षण करोत.
७) नानारुप धारण करणारा दत्त आत-बाहेर म्हणजे घराच्या किंवा शरीराच्या आत व बाहेर माझे रक्षण करो. ज्या स्थानांना कवच लागले नाही त्या स्थानांचेही दिव्यदृष्टी असणारा दत्तात्रेय रक्षण करो.
८) राजापासून, शत्रूपासून, हिंस्त्र प्राण्यांपासून जारण-मारणापासून दुष्ट प्रयोगांपासून, पापांपासून, मानसिक व्यथेपासून, शारीरिक व्यथेपासून तसेच इतर भयांपासून व पीडांपासून गुरु दत्तात्रेय माझे सदा रक्षण करोत.
९) माझ्या पैशाचे, धान्याचे, घराचे, शेताचे, स्त्रीचे, मुलांचे, पशुंचेसेवकांचे व इतर सर्व कुटुंबाचे अनसुयेचा आनंद वाढविणार्‍या मुलाने म्हणजेच श्रीदत्तात्रेयाने रक्षण करावे.
१०) केंव्हां केव्हां लहान मुलासारखा वागणारा केंव्हां केव्हां उन्मत्त होणारा श्रीगुरुदेव दत्त दिवसा, रात्री व दिवसरात्रीच्या संधीत पंचमहाभूते व त्यापासून उत्पन्न झालेल्या पदार्थापासून व मृत्यु पासून माझे रक्षण करो.
११) हे दत्तकवच जो कोणी भक्तीने युक्त होऊन जपेल व पाठ करेल तो सर्व अनर्थांतून मुक्त होईल. तसेच सर्व ग्रहांच्या पीडेपासून मुक्त होईल.
१२) भूत, प्रेत व पिशाच्च यांचे हे कवचधारण करणारापुढें काहीही चालणार नाही. देवसुद्धा त्याला पराजित करु शकणार नाहीत. या लोकांत स्वर्गांत असलेल्या सुखांप्रमाणे सर्व सुखे मिळतील. देहान्ती कवच जपणारा दत्तस्वरुपास प्राप्त होईल. 

अशारीतीने हे परमहंस परिव्राजकाचार्य श्रीवासुदेवानंदसरस्वतीनीं रचिलेले श्रीदत्तात्रेय कवच संपूर्ण झाले.                           

Shri Dattatreya Kavacham

Shri Dattatreya Kavacham is in Sanskrit. It is a beautiful creation of Shri Vasudevanand Saraswati. This Kavacham is very pious and powerful however we have to recite it with faith, devotion and concentration to receive what is desired. This Kavacham is a prayer made to Shri Datta Guru by his devotee. In the prayer devotee is requesting Shri Datta Guru by calling him with various pious names; to protect his (devotee’s) all parts of the body, his organs which gives him knowledge, and his organs which work for him and to protect from all ten directions, in the house/body and out of the house/body.

1) Shri Laxmi stays at the feet of Shri Dattatreya. Hence let Shri Dattatreya protect my feet. Let Shri Dattatreya who sits in Siddasana posture, protect my thighs. Let Digambar protect my anus and my reproductive organs. Let Nruhari protect my waist.

2) Let Jagatsastra protect my navel. Let Dalodara protect my stomach. Let Krupalu protect my heart. Let Shatbhuja protect my shoulders.

3) Shri Dattatreya has held Mala, Kamandalu, Trishula, Damaru, Shankha and Chakra in his six hands, Let my hands be protected by him. Let Kambukantha protect my throat. Let Sumukha protect my mouth.

4) Let Vedvak protect my tongue. Let Divadruk protect my eyes. Let Gandhatma protect my nose. Let Punyashrava protect my ears.

5) Let my forehead be protected by Hansatma. Let my head be protected by Jatadhara. Let my organs which work for me by Ishwara and my organs which give me knowledge be protected Aja.

6) Let my conscience be protected by Sarvantara. Let my Pranan be protected by the king of Yogies. Let Yogiraj protect me from all ten directions.

7) Let Shri Gurudev Datta who can take many forms/incarnations; protect me in and out of the house/body. Let anything which is not covered by this Kavacha, be protected by Divadrushti.

8) Let Gurudev Datta protect me from tyrant government, enemies, wield animals, bad things performed to trouble me, my sins, mental diseases and disease of my body, and all other troubles, difficulties.

9) Let son of Anusuya protect my money, food, my house, my wife, my children’s, my pets, my servants and my relatives.

10) Let Balonmatta protect me in day, night and the period in between day and night from all pancha mahabhutas (earth, water, fire, air and sky) and from death.

11) Anybody reciting this Datta Kavacham with devotion and faith will become free from all his troubles, difficulties and so also from troubles by planets such as Saturn, Mars etc.

12) Ghosts, Demons etc. can’t trouble such devotee who recites this Kavacha daily. He will become happy, all his desires will be fulfilled, become successful in his endeavors and lead a healthy, wealthy and peaceful life. After his death he will go to Datta Loka.

1) The other group of Rashies is Stable, not moving and taking there own time to give results, disliking the change of any kind. Such group consists of Vrushabha, Sinha, Vrishika and Kumbha Rashies. Planets in these rashies give results according to the nature of this group. Suppose Venus is in the fourth house in any of this group rashi; the person will get a vehicle like car but he will use the vehicle for a long time and reluctant to sell it and purchase a new one. Thus disliking the change is the nature of this group. Saturn in kumbha corresponding to Second house, the person will not like to live far away from his family even if the family may be big.

Any type of a life threatening danger can be averted by reciting this Sanskrit Stotra. It is written by Shri Vasudevanand Sarswati. 1) Now I will let you know each and every rashi and the qualities of the Rashi.

There are 12 rashies.1)Mesha or Aries 2) Vrushabha or Taurus 3) Mithuna or Gemini 4) Karka or Cancer 5) Sinha or Leo 6) Kanya or Virgo 7) Tula or Libra 8) Vrishika or Scorpio 9) Dhanu or Sagittarius 10) Makara or Capricorn 11) Kumbha or Aquarius 12) Meena or Pisces.

These 12 rashies are again subdivided into groups. Such one group is Chara or fast resulting, moving. The rashies in this group are Mesha, Karka, Tula and Makara. The results in these rashies are fast. The predications about the result of the planets in these rashies are always very fast; severe may be good or bad. Suppose Moon is in the 3rd, 7th or 9th house in any one of the above four rashies in a horoscope; such person is always found on touring jobs, or making frequent travels. The nature of the travel may very. If Mars is in the 8th house in any of the above four rashies in a horoscope; there is a possibility of meeting with an accident and injury may be severe.

This is a stotra which if recited with belief and concentration it gives you victory in all your endeavors, Profit in your projects and Success in whatever you are doing. This is written by Param Puja Shri Vasudevanand Saraswati, Devotee of Shri DattaGuru and it is a prayer made to Shri DattaGuru to receive his blessings. Please recite it every day.

जयलाभयशः प्राप्ति स्तोत्रम्  

दत्तात्रेयं महात्मानं वरदं भक्तवत्सलम् ।

प्रपन्नार्तिहरं वन्दे स्मर्तृगामी स माऽवतु ॥ १ ॥

दीनबन्धुं कृपासिन्धुं सर्वकारणकारणम् ।

सर्वारक्षाकरं वन्दे स्मर्तृगामी स माऽवतु ॥ २ ॥  

शरणागतदीनार्तपरित्राणपरायणम् ।

नारायणं विभुं वंदे स्मर्तृगामी स माऽवतु ॥ ३ ॥

सर्वानर्थहरं देवं सर्वमंगलमंगलम् ।

मराठी अनुवाद (स्वैर) 

१) महात्मा दत्तात्रेय हा भक्तांवर माया, प्रेम करणारा व त्यांना वर देणारा आहे. सर्व त्रासांतून,संकटांतुन सोडविणार्‍या; त्या आठवण केल्याबरोबर येणार्‍या दत्तात्रेयाला मी नमस्कार करतो. तो आमचे रक्षण करो.
२) तो दीन-दुर्बल लोकांचा बन्धु, कृपेचा सागर व सर्व कारणांचे कारण आहे. सर्वांचे रक्षण करणार्‍या; त्या आठवण केल्याबरोबर येणार्‍या दत्तात्रेयाला मी नमस्कार करतो. तो आमचे रक्षण करो.
३) शरणागत, दीन, दुःखी लोकांचे त्रास हरण करणार्‍या त्या आठवण केल्याबरोबर येणार्‍या नारायणाला मी नमस्कार करतो. तो आमचे रक्षण करो.
४) सर्व अनर्थांचे हरण करणारा देव, सर्व मंगलाचे मंगल, सर्व क्लेश नाहीसे करणार्‍या; त्या आठवण केल्याबरोबर येणार्‍या दत्तात्रेयाला मी नमस्कार करतो. तो आमचे रक्षण करो. 
५) आमच्या पापांचे शोषण करणारा, ज्ञानरुपी तेजाच्या दिपाने अज्ञान हरण करणार्‍या व भक्तांना इच्छिलेले व हितकर असलेले सर्व देणार्‍या; 
त्या आठवण केल्याबरोबर येणार्‍या दत्तात्रेयाला मी नमस्कार करतो. तो आमचे रक्षण करो.
६) सर्व रोगांचा नाश, सर्व त्रास, पीडांचे हरण करणार्‍या आणि आपत्तींतून उद्धारण करणार्‍या; आमच्या सांसारिक तापाचे, दुःखांचे, त्रासांचे हरण करणार्‍या;  त्या आठवण केल्याबरोबर येणार्‍या दत्तात्रेयाला मी नमस्कार करतो. तो आमचे रक्षण करो.
७) तो ब्रह्मज्ञानी, तत्त्वज्ञ आणि भक्तांची कीर्ति वाढविणारा आहे. आपत्तींमधून  उद्धरणार्‍या; त्या आठवण केल्याबरोबर येणार्‍या दत्तात्रेयाला मी नमस्कार करतो. तो आमचे रक्षण करो. 
८) जन्म-संसार-बन्ध यांचे उच्चाटन करुन म्हणजेच मोक्ष देऊन स्वरुपाचा आनंद प्राप्त करुन देणार्‍या, श्रेयस्कर स्थान देणार्‍या; त्या आठवण केल्याबरोबर येणार्‍या दत्तात्रेयाला मी नमस्कार करतो. तो आमचे रक्षण करो.
९) हे दत्तस्तवन जय, लाभ, यश, लोकिक कामना पूर्ण करणारे, भोग व मोक्ष दोन्ही देणारे आहे. ह्याचा पाठ करणारास त्याचा लाभ होईल.

अशा रीतीने परमहंस परिव्राजकाचार्य श्रीमद्वासुदेवानंदसरस्वतींनी रचिलेले हे जयलाभायश स्तोत्र संपूर्ण झाले.
